THE STORY BEHIND THE BRAND
Hi, I'm Nhu. I started Finding Ferdinand from my tiny New York City apartment back in 2013. I spent the initial years creating custom lipstick colors at pop-ups around the city.
Interacting with our customers and listening to their beauty needs helped set the foundation for what you see today.
This initial idea transformed into a new goal: to create a brand that puts customers first and provide a platform where beauty lovers can define their own aesthetics. What started as a one person company has now grown into a full team that is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, creating innovative products, and using the highest quality ingredients.
Thank you for supporting and believing in us! We are very excited to share our journey with you, and we look forward to creating many stories together.xoxo
P.S. You'll occasionally see an email from me following up on an order and making sure you're 100% satisfied with your purchase. It's just to ensure we're making it easy for you to create, explore, discover and find beauty your way.
THE NAME ORGIN
The inspiration behind the name Finding Ferdinand came when founder Nhu Le learned about the story of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella while studying abroad in Spain. The idea of finding her Ferdinand stuck, and was used as inspiration when starting the brand. The name is up for individual interpretation however, and represents discovery and the search to find the things in life that make you feel like the best you. This also inspired our wish for our customers to CREATE, EXPLORE, DISCOVER and FIND BEAUTY YOUR WAY.
THE INGREDIENTS WITHIN OUR PRODUCTS
According to the American Environmental Working Group survey, women use an average of 12 cosmetic products each day, containing 168 different chemicals. We don’t want to add any additional chemicals to your daily routine. This is why, we focus extensively on producing clean products made with the highest quality ingredients (no parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc, petroleum, or gluten). In addition, as responsible corporate citizens, we do not test on animals or use chemicals known to be harmful for the environment.
We’ll never sell you something that we would not use ourselves. We’re just as invested in the beauty of the earth as we are in the beauty of our customers.
